What happens in the teaser trailer for the Breaking Bad creator’s new TV show?
Better Call Saul star Rhea Seehorn plays Carol Sturka, a successful historical romance novelist. In the teaser, Carol is sitting in her car when she sees a “Welcome Carol” sign flash across a billboard for the Westgate. Carol immediately drives away from the sign before the teaser ends.
The teaser includes the caption, “Enjoy your stay, Carol. (202) 808-3981.”
The series follows Carol, who discovers a strange occurrence while on a book tour across New Mexico. A virus made people happy and optimistic. However, Carol is immune to this phenomenon.
Besides Seehorn, Pluribus stars Karolina Wydra (Sneaky Pete) and Carlos Manuel Vesga (The Hijacking of Flight 601) and guest stars Miriam Shor (American Fiction) and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death).
Gilligan is the creator of Pluribus, and he executive produces alongside Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski, and Jeff Frost. Jenn Carroll and Trina Siopy are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
Pluribus is a reunion for Gilligan and Seehorn, who worked together on Better Call Saul, the spinoff to the landmark series Breaking Bad. Seehorn played Kim Wexler, a lawyer and the eventual wife of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), who eventually became Saul Goodman. Seehorn received two Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Wexler.
Pluribus debuts on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, November 7, 2025. Season 1 will consist of nine episodes, with the finale airing on December 26. Pluribus has already been renewed for Season 2.
