Brand New One Piece Special Releasing on Netflix Way Before Season 3

One Piece fans have a new special to look forward to before the live-action series returns for Season 3. Netflix is set to release a brand-new two-part LEGO One Piece special later this month. The upcoming episodes will revisit the Straw Hats’ earlier adventures while putting a LEGO spin on the story.

Two-part LEGO One Piece special arrives on Netflix this month

Netflix is bringing a new take on One Piece to the platform this month. A two-part LEGO One Piece special is scheduled to premiere on September 29, 2026, with both episodes running for 30 minutes. The release will revisit events from the first two seasons of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece in a new animated format.

The special will center on Usopp as he recounts the Straw Hats’ earlier exploits to Tony Tony Chopper. It will use LEGO versions of the characters to revisit their adventures across the East Blue. Usopp’s stories cover the crew’s journey and their eventual preparations to travel toward the Grand Line.

The special’s trailer shows Luffy and the rest of the crew setting sail toward the Grand Line while several major events from the live-action series are recreated in brick form. Among the scenes featured is the Straw Hats’ chaotic encounter with Buggy the Clown. The preview also moves through several of the storylines covered in the first two seasons.

The project will also bring back the English-language voices of several actors from Netflix’s live-action series. Iñaki Godoy will once again voice Luffy, with Emily Rudd returning as Nami and Mackenyu as Zoro. Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar reprise Usopp and Sanji, respectively, while Mikaela Hoover voices Tony Tony Chopper. Jeff Ward also returns as Buggy the Clown.

Tom Hyndman, Jill Wilfert, Keith Malone, Lars Danielsen, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda serve as executive producers. Chelsea Ker directed both episodes.
