Police have called off the search for missing woman Lisa Blagg after a body was found

Police have found a body in the hunt for a missing woman from Broxbourne, Essex.

Lisa Blagg, 45, was last seen in the Old Nazeing Road area yesterday evening, wearing a Peaky Blinders t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms.

It’s believed she was travelling on foot.

Police have now confirmed a body has been found in the search for Lisa.

Her family are currently being supported by specialist officers.

Lisa’s death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious, the Sun reported. A coroner’s report is being prepared.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: ‘We have suspended our search for Lisa Blagg, who was missing from Broxbourne.

‘It follows the discovery of a woman’s body as officers carried out their search.

‘Lisa’s family have been informed and are being supported by our officers.

‘The woman’s death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.’

People reacted on social media to the news of her search being called off after the discovery.

One person said: ‘So sorry to hear. Thoughts with family and friends and those that found her.

Another one wrote: ‘So sad. Thinking about the family.’
