In December 2024, Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, who later countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for defamation. Court documents revealed that Baldoni claimed Swift was used to influence script changes. “Taylor and Blake have talked, but it’s strained,” an insider told Us Weekly, adding that they are no longer in regular contact.

Taylor Swift will reportedly be subpoenaed for the trial beginning in March 2026. She has attempted to distance herself from the situation. According to a second insider, “Taylor was shocked to be referred to in work messages sent to Blake’s director and to be brought into this.” Swift’s representative stated on May 9 denying any involvement with the film, stating, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie… The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song.”

The tension reportedly began months ago when a photographer questioned Reynolds about Travis Kelce unfollowing him on Instagram. Kelce’s action-fueled speculation about a broader rift between the two couples. Swift wrapped her Eras Tour, then began avoiding public attention and focusing on setting boundaries. “Taylor’s biggest issue seems to be protecting herself emotionally and legally,” the first insider stated.

Lively has since apologized to Swift. “Taylor and Blake have spoken, and Blake [said she’s sorry],” a source confirmed. While Swift remains forgiving, the insider noted, “They are on OK terms now, but the friendship is still wounded.” Lively reportedly remains hopeful for reconciliation.
