Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Pose Together at Another Simple Favor Premiere Amid Lawsuit

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds turned heads at the Another Simple Favor premiere in New York City amid Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni. Their joint appearance came just days after Lively was honored at the Time100 Gala. During the event, she briefly addressed the impact of the past two years. As legal proceedings continue, the couple’s latest red carpet outing has renewed interest in the high-profile case.

Blake Lively attended the New York City premiere of Another Simple Favor on April 27, 2025, at Jazz at Lincoln Center. She was joined by her husband Ryan Reynolds, director Paul Feig, and co-star Anna Kendrick. Lively wore a pale mint-colored draped gown with geometric cutouts, accessorized with statement jewelry.

The film is a sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor. Apart from Lively and Kendrick, the cast includes Elizabeth Perkins, Bashir Salahuddin, Andrew Rannells, and Henry Golding, among many others, in key roles.

Lively’s appearance comes amid her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The dispute began in December 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. Baldoni denied the claims and filed a countersuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane for $400 million. The trial is scheduled for March 2026.

The premiere occurred three days after Lively was honored at the Time100 Gala on April 24. She gave a speech referencing recent events, stating, “I have so much to say about the last two years of my life, but tonight is not the forum.” She added, “What I will speak to separately is the feeling of being a woman who has a voice… because every life, every act, big or small, affects another” (via PEOPLE).

Speaking to PEOPLE the following morning, Reynolds said, “I don’t know that I’ve met somebody stronger,” adding, “Her coping mechanisms are just coffee.” He added, “I don’t know how I could hold what she holds and do it with grace and strength.” On being seen as a supportive spouse, he joked, “Let’s not rush to judgment before all the facts are in.”
