Bigg Boss Tamil season 9: Vijay Sethupathy roped in as host, grand premiere confirmed for THIS date

The wait is finally over, as Bigg Boss Tamil season 9 will be returning to the small screen on October 5. This season will see Vijay Sethupathi as the host again, who had taken over hosting the show after Kamal Haasan left the show after season 7. The announcement of him coming back has ended all the speculation fans had about the same. The official announcement for the show's latest season was made by the channel through Instagram on Saturday. Along with the announcement of the show, they released a poster for the show, with Vijay Sethupathi dressed in a denim jacket. The caption for the Instagram post read, "You will understand only by watching... You will know only by going. Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 | Grand Launch From October 5th."

Season 9 of Bigg Boss Tamil will be available on Vijay Television, as well as online on JioHotstar, just like the previous season.

Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 ended on January 19, 2025, with Muthukumaran turning out to be the winner and winning Rs. 41 lakh. Soundariya was the first runner-up in the last season. The last season went on for 106 episodes.

Vijay is currently equipped with many upcoming projects. He will be starring in Puri Jagannadh's new movie, which also has Tabu and Samyuktha in it.
