After being originally slated to join the likes of Avengers: Secret Wars and James Gunn's Man of Tomorrow in the 2027 theatrical circuit, the frustrating news was announced in July that The Batman Part II had been delayed to February 18, 2028. Director Matt Reeveschanged the bright MCU-led style of superhero movies with 2022's The Batman, instead delivering a darker and grittier aesthetic that perfectly encapsulated both the Caped Crusader and his city of Gotham.
