Andoris officially back, and the most critically-acclaimed Star Wars project in history is ushering in its second season with what is easily the most delightfully uncomfortable relationship in the galaxy. Between Cassian's (Diego Luna) attempts to complete his latest mission and the series' dark subplots on Chandrila and Mina-Rau, Andor's update to the romance between Syril Karn (Kyle Soller) and Dedra Meero (Denise Gough) offers some brief moments of levity in an otherwise bitter premiere. Aside from giving Dedra the opportunity to literally let her hair down, these scenes show that the more self-serious half of the Death Star-crossed lovers is more focused than ever, with Soller's portrayal of Syril proving that a stable home life only bolsters the bureaucrat's meticulous nature.
