We here in Ireland have known Barry Keoghan for years. We’ll never forget that cat scene in Love/Hate.

Over a decade after he killed the cat, he has now become one of the world’s biggest stars.

Winning his first BAFTA in 2023 for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin and becoming the internet’s latest heartthrob in Saltburn, his star power is just going up and up.

He has admitted that he’s not used to the amount of attention he is now receiving and can find it “overwhelming” at times.

“It’s quite a scary one as well, because I’m not used to this much attention. It’s overwhelming, if I’m quite honest,” Keoghan told Vanity Fair.

“It’s almost a different kind of life that you’ve got to be living now.”

Barry appeared on the cover of the annual Hollywood Issue, where he stripped down to the nip to pay homage to the now infamous Murder on the Dancefloor closing scene in Saltburn.

He also got a chance to pose with his peers in a very dapper suit – don’t worry!

Presenting the 30th annual #VFHollywood Issue, our cheekiest yet, starring Bradley Cooper, Natalie Portman, Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo, Jodie Comer, Lily Gladstone, Greta Lee, Charles Melton, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan.

It’s no surprise that Barry is feeling this way as his personal life has become the subject of internet rumours recently, especially his love life as he has been linked to American singer Sabrina Carpenter.

“It can be detrimental to the mind and your mental state if you read into it too much or you look at too much stuff being said,” he went on to say.
