Badly Drawn Boy has announced a final run of UK shows to celebrate his debut album. Check out the details below.

The new shows come in celebration of his breakthrough LP ‘The Hour Of Bewilderbeast’, which turned 25 this year.

To mark the anniversary, the singer-songwriter headed out on tour this spring, playing a handful of live shows across the UK including three nights at London’s EartH Theatre and two nights at Manchester’s Aviva Studios.

Now, due to fan demand, he has added a final run of dates to his itinerary – taking place this December.

New shows kick off in Liverpool on Tuesday, December 16, and continue with shows in Cardiff, Sheffield and Edinburgh throughout the month. The latest run of dates wrap up with a stop in Sunderland on Monday, December 22.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (September 26) at 10am. Visit here for tickets and more information.

Like his dates in the spring, the new run of shows will see Badly Drawn Boy perform the Mercury Prize winning album in its entirety – including its singles ‘Once Around The Block’, ‘Another Pearl’ and ‘Disillusion’.

Other tracks from his back catalogue will be played live too, as well as numerous fan favourites.

‘The Hour Of Bewilderbeast’ was originally released on Badly Drawn Boy’s own label Twisted Nerve through XL Recordings on June 26 2000. It won the Mercury prize in 2000, beating out competition like Coldplay‘s ‘Parachutes’ and Richard Ashcroft‘s ‘Alone with Everybody’.

As well as celebrating the breakthrough LP, Badly Drawn Boy also hit the road with Squeeze earlier this year for a 50th anniversary UK tour.
