Avengers: Doomsday Still Has Many More Casting Announcements Fans Don’t Know About: ‘So Large’

Avengers: Doomsday still has more casting announcements coming. The current lineup is not the complete cast. Marvel has already revealed a massive roster.

As reported by GamesRadar+, director Anthony Russo shared the update during a post-Avengers: Endgame Encore Q&A. Joe Russo missed the event because he was ill. Anthony also discussed the movie’s ongoing post-production process.

The director said, “The cast is so large, and we’ve announced some of the cast, and we haven’t announced some of the cast.”

He also confirmed that the brothers remain deep in post-production on the movie. He added, “Joe and I are still very deep in the process of finishing Doomsday. We always say we’re not done with a movie until they pry it out of our cold, dead hands.”

Who is confirmed for the Avengers: Doomsday cast so far?

The confirmed Avengers: Doomsday cast includes stars from the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, Wakandans and X-Men. Robert Downey Jr. leads the film as Victor von Doom, while Chris Hemsworth returns as Thor and Chris Evans plays Steve Rogers.

The Fantastic Four lineup features Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The Thunderbolts* cast includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen and Lewis Pullman. Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Tenoch Huerta are also confirmed.

The returning Fox-era X-Men include Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming and Channing Tatum. Tom Hiddleston will return as Loki, while Hayley Atwell is also confirmed as Peggy Carter.

Several major Marvel characters remain unconfirmed. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man have not been officially announced for the film. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026.
