Less than four months remain until Doomsday falls upon the MCU and unites heroes across generations to face Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. Among the 20th Century Fox X-Men who have been brought out of retirement for the latest Avengers film is prolific The Traitors host Alan Cumming, who put away his wardrobe of fabulous outfits in exchange for the blue visage of Nightcrawler for the occasion, alongside former co-stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and Kelsey Grammer. It was an experience he'd previously described as "healing" after the nightmarish production that was X2, and now, the wait is nearly over to see him back in action over 20 years later. Before that, though, he's playing the villain for a much different globe-spanning adventure.
