Viewers are eager to find out whether NBC has renewed or canceled Chicago Fire Season 14, Chicago P.D. Season 13, and Chicago Med Season 11. All three One Chicago shows concluded their seasons at Episode 22 on May 21, 2025. Now that new episodes won’t premiere next week, many want to know the upcoming seasons’ fate at NBC. So, here are the details.
Did Chicago Fire Season 14, Chicago Med Season 11, and Chicago PD Season 13 get canceled?
NBC has renewed Chicago Fire Season 14, Chicago Med Season 11, and Chicago P.D. Season 13.
The news about its renewal emerged early this May. It was announced that NBC has ordered all One Chicago shows another installment, set to premiere sometime in the 2025-2026 season. Deadline earlier reported that Wolf Entertainment and Universal TV are taking cost-cutting measures in long-running ensemble dramas like One Chicago and Law & Order shows. At that time, they opted to reduce the overall episode count, with most regular cast members no longer appearing in every episode.
Continuing their cost-saving measures, the outlet revealed that a similar case is about to happen in the upcoming installment as well. The actors could likely be absent from 2–4 episodes in the next outings. It’s reported that all three shows won’t have a 22-episode count but will be shorter. At the time of writing, NBC hasn’t revealed exact release dates, cast members, or episode counts for the next season.
The finale summaries for all three shows are as follows:
Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 22 – “It Had to End This Way” – Severide puts her job in jeopardy to help a teammate in need. Kidd aids Natalie and her sister in sorting out their complex bond. Meanwhile, Hermann is ready to give the Chief the Test.
Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 22 – “Vows (2)” – Ruzek and Burgess are ready to tie the knot as their wedding date nears. Chapman and Voight’s relationship grows. Elsewhere, Torres faces the consequences of his careless actions.
Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 22 – “…Don’t You Cry” – Goodwin gets the order to make difficult cuts in staff. Charles gets worried after her daughter gets into an accident. Meanwhile, a transplant patient makes a tough decision.
All One Chicago shows are available to watch on Peacock as well.
