Apple TV has become the premier home for prestige sci-fi TV shows over the last few years. Back in 2022, the streamer debuted the first season of Severance, the twisted sci-fi show starring Adam Scott and directed by Ben Stiller. Severance returned last year with its long-awaited second season, and although the show has been renewed for Season 3, cameras have yet to start rolling. Severance was Apple TV’s most-watched sci-fi show of all time, until the debut of Pluribus last year. The new sci-fi series hails from Vince Gilligan, who also wrote two of the most famous TV shows of all time in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Pluribus took the crown from Severance to become the biggest Apple TV sci-fi show ever, and it’s already been renewed for Season 2.
