Popular Punjabi singer AP Dhillon, who was born in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, recently met the devastated families affected by the recent Punjab floods. When the singer met the families, one incident involved him meeting an elderly woman and listening to her struggles and hardships as she lost everything in the floods. The singer was moved to tears as the woman was still smiling even after going through so much. He vowed, in partnership with the NGO Initiators of Change, to help rebuild homes. In the viral video, the elderly woman was seen pouring her heart out to the singer as she talked about the difficulties.

Dhillon told the elderly woman in Punjabi, "Bahut daler dil hai biji aap (You have a very brave heart, mother)." To which she replied with courage, "Daler banke hi putt reha janda ae (One has to remain strong to keep going)."
