Anya Taylor-Joy has quietly become one of the brightest up-and-coming stars in Hollywood in the last few years after her career began years ago with ritualistic hits like The Witch and Morgan. More recently, though, she headlined the massive sci-fi film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which co-stars tenured Marvel veteran Chris Hemsworth. She earned widespread critical acclaim back in 2020 for her commanding performance in the Netflix original miniseries, The Queen’s Gambit, which not only helped launch the streaming era, but also helped kickstart Anya Taylor-Joy’s path to superstardom. Taylor-Joy is even in line to step into a bigger role in the last Dune movie in Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi trilogy later this year, on December 18. She features prominently in the first trailer for the film that was released recently.
