Antony Starr recently ranked Homelander memes during The Boys Season 5’s premiere in Rome, Italy. While his character has given several iconic meme-worthy moments across previous seasons, Starr noted that this isn’t the end and teased that fans can expect more in the upcoming season. The Boys Season 5 is set to premiere on April 8 and will serve as the final chapter of the series.

During a conversation on the red carpet at the Season 5 premiere of The Boys, Antony Starr was asked to rate some of the funniest Homelander memes on a scale of 1 to 6. Interestingly, two popular memes, the “disgusted face” look and the memorable emotional scene, were both placed at the 4th spot.

He went on to rank a few other memes at different positions as well. However, none of the memes made it to the 1st or 2nd positions. “The Boys S5 is gonna give you guys so many … it’s gonna be a memefest,” he further teased.

Last year, Antony Starr took to Instagram to share a series of images of Homelander. He added a lengthy note reflecting on his journey with The Boys, its positive impact on his career, and expressing gratitude to everyone involved.

He wrote, “Difficult (for me) to put into words what an incredible ride this has been. How much life and growth has occurred. How amazing the team is. It’s truly been the highlight of my career.”

Reflecting on how the show left a lasting impact on the industry, he added, “When we began, I had no idea what was coming. This juggernaut left the station and never stopped. Except for that Covid moment. Oh, and the strikes. That was a thing too. But apart from those two times, it never stopped, boldly making its mark on the television landscape. There’s nothing else like it. It lives in its own lane.”

The Boys Season 5 premieres with two episodes on Amazon Prime Video and will drop weekly through May 20.
