According to Scaramucci, SOL isn’t just another blockchain; it’s on track to become the foundational layer of global financial infrastructure.
Currently writing a book titled Solana Rising, Scaramucci has been engaging deeply with the ecosystem. His insights are backed by research, interviews with Wall Street CTOs, and direct conversations with Solana co-founders Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal.
A $7 Trillion Opportunity
One of the most striking points Scaramucci raised was the $7 trillion spent annually on transaction verification worldwide—a figure he views as a major inefficiency ripe for disruption. Solana’s fast, low-cost infrastructure, he argued, has the potential to slash these costs and redefine how the global financial system operates.
“Think of Solana as the operating layer for real-world assets, in the same way Bitcoin is for money,” he said.
From stocks and bonds to real estate and alternative assets, Scaramucci believes Solana will serve as a financial rail for tokenization, powering the digitization of real-world value at scale.
On-Chain IPOs Without Banks
Scaramucci also floated one of the most disruptive ideas: IPOs on Solana that require no bank account.
“You don’t need a bank account to buy an IPO on-chain, just a wallet,” he explained.
Compared to traditional IPOs, which carry fees as high as 7%, an on-chain alternative via Solana could drastically reduce costs and democratize investment access globally.
Institutions Are Next
Despite regulatory uncertainty, Scaramucci insisted that institutional adoption is inevitable. He predicted that major players like JPMorgan—even under crypto skeptics like Jamie Dimon—will eventually custody and build yield-bearing products on top of Solana and other Layer-1 platforms.
“Solana will be part of a financial system where you not only stake, but also lend your assets – earning yield like you would in traditional finance,” he said.
With Solana’s blend of scalability, speed, and low cost, Scaramucci sees it not only as a powerful DeFi tool but also as a long-term bridge between traditional and decentralized financial systems.
