More information about the previously rumored Siegfried & Roy TV show starring Andrew Garfield and Jude Law has come out, including its name.
What is the Siegfried & Roy TV show called?
According to a new report from Variety, the series starring Garfield and Law will be called Wild Things. The Apple TV+ limited series will also run for eight episodes, and will see Law starring as Siegfried Fishbacher and Garfield appearing as Roy Horn.
The logline for the show teases that it “tells the wild ride relationship tale of two of the greatest showman-magicians in history who, along with their white tigers, are tasked with turning Sin City into a family-friendly destination. The duo push the concept of illusion versus reality to the extreme, personally and professionally, until tragedy reframes and opens a mystery surrounding their last fateful Las Vegas show.”
John Hoffman developed the series and will also serve as executive producer, showrunner, and director, which was also previously reported by Jeff Sneider of The InSneider.
Siegfried & Roy are the iconic duo of Siegfried Fishbacher and Roy Horn, both of whom were German-American magicians and entertainers. The pair were best known for their headlining performances in Las Vegas, which often incorporated white lions and white tigers in their acts. The pair performed from the 1960s all the way through 2003, when Horn was infamously critically injured by a tiger during one of their performances.
In 2020, Horn died from complications due to COVID-19 at the age of 75. In 2021, Fishbacher died at the age of 81 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
