Streaming budgets have ballooned over the years, with epic shows like Stranger Things, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Severance, and The Wheel of Time costing inordinate amounts of money (The Rings of Power season 1, for instance, cost Amazon an estimated $462 million). Comparatively speaking, most, though certainly not all, of the Star Wars live-action shows were produced on relatively modest budgets.
