While production on Avengers: Doomsdaybegan in March 2025, Captain America: Brave New World's Anthony Mackie recently shared that he made the trip to London several weeks into its filming. The actor was confirmed to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Sam Wilson/Captain America following his first solo outing during Marvel's five-and-a-half Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement. During the same video, it was confirmed that several actors from the 200s X-Men franchise would also return.
