ANANTA TGS 2025 Trailer Shows Project Mugen’s GTA Style City

NetEase’s last major update on ANANTA, its open-world, GTA style game with anime inspired graphics confirmed the full title of Project Mugen, and now the 2025 Tokyo Game Show the Captain and Taffy major characters exploring Nova City and engaging in various activities. There are two over seven minute long trailers available, with one showing the English voice acting and the other the Japanese one.

You can see the English ANANTA TGS 2025 trailer below, which really highlights GTA style elements such as walking around the city on foot as either character, riding motorcycles, driving cars, fighting enemies, using major guns like rocket launchers, using emotes, taking selfies, browsing in-game social media, and grappling like one would in Spider-Man games. While Captain is the primary focus for the first half of the video and is shown as a playable avatar, we do see a few scenes with Taffy, Richie, and Seymour after the 3:10 mark. There’s also an opportunity to see how the character swapping mechanic will let you use multiple members of the department on a mission, changing between them for different tasks. All of them are members of the ACD solving crimes and situations around the city, and they were already introduced on the official site.

ANANTA is in development for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, pre-registration is open via the official site, and TGS 2025 runs September 25-28, 2025.
