Almost a Decade Later, That ‘Gilmore Girls’ Emmy Appearance Just Made the Case for Another Revival

While the 2025 Emmy Awards last night were all about awarding the best performances and TV shows from the past year, including major wins for the Apple TV series The Studio and the Netflix hit Adolescence, the star-studded award show also served up some cast reunions. In one of the most memorable moments of the night, Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham, aka Rory and Lorelai from the beloved coming-of-age series Gilmore Girls, which ran for seven seasons and ended back in 2007, reunited onstage in celebration of the show's 25th anniversary. Together, the onscreen mother-daughter duo presented the award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series, and, most importantly, made longtime fans of the show hopeful for another reunion.
