Neighbours is lining up yet another huge departure, as Nell Rebecchi (Ayisha Salem-Towner) bids farewell to Ramsay Street after 12 years.
Of course, there’s been a two year time jump during that time too. So it’s actually been even longer. But for us viewers, little Nell was born sometime between the 2012 season finale and 2013 season opener, so this really is the end of an era.
She’s decided to join her dad Toadie (Ryan Moloney) in Colac, but has some making up to do with JJ Varga-Murphy (Riley Bryant) first.
Her departure leaves Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) in somewhat of a predicament, as when partner Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) jets off to America, she’s left alone with the step-daughter from hell, Elle (Elise Jansen).
Cara Varga-Murphy (Sara West) finds herself in a bit of a predicament next week when she goes chasing for information on the mysterious Linwell Brothers, and Andrew Rodwell (Lloyd Will) is forced to step away from his sneaky midday date with Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) to rescue her.
The pair’s affair is now in full swing, as they begin to contemplate their future beyond Erinsborough…
Here’s everything you need to know about next week’s Neighbours!
Monday, September 8
Andrew and Holly realise that they can’t be apart any longer. The interaction boosts her mood and Karl and Susan are pleased to see her in a much better place.

Across at the complex, Andrew is guilt-ridden when he sees Wendy and Sadie helping out at the Foundation, and withdraws his promise to assist them.
Holly brushes off Sadie, knowing she has to start distancing herself from her.
Toadie is pleased with the Rodwells’ work and checks in on Andrew after his no-show. But he’s far more interested in looking at the saucy photo of Holly she took during the Jewellery Expo…
After a long day battling their feelings, the two make plans for their future and Holly scouts out a perfect hide-out.
Meanwhile, Max continues to worry about his girlfriend and has an open conversation with Taye about it. He’s got his own issues – Sadie is continuing her coy charade, and he knows they’re on the same page.
Ultimately they decide to take a slow approach to dating, without any pressure.
Elsewhere, Cara notices Nicolette behaving strangely and in the heat of the moment, everything comes out.

Nic reveals that she’s got feelings for her mate, and that she was hoping that moving on with Maddy would help change her mind. The women have an honest conversation about it and manage to clear the air, with Remi noticing them both hugging.
Reflecting on the interaction, Remi tells Cara that with their lives in limbo since her amnesia, she should start to date other people if she wants to.
It’s quite the bombshell, and Cara decides to focus on her work – and a potential lead on the Linwells arriving in Erinsborough.
Over the road, Nell gathers Toadie, Karl, Susan and Terese to admit that there’s been a lot on her mind other than her breakup with JJ.
She’s ready to give living in Colac another chance, and is going home with her dad.
Tuesday, September 9
Terese plans a farewell tea for Nell, but she’s far too stressed by the prospect of leaving on bad terms with JJ. To make matters worse, she hasn’t even broke the news yet.

Max and Wendy gather some old parts from the garage with the idea of making an object sculpture at the school. During the pupils’ working, Jane accidentally spills the beans about Nell’s departure in front of JJ.
Hurt and frustrated, he takes his upset out on the sculpture.
When he arrives home, Nell invites him to the barbecue but he lets out more anger and she decides to call the event off.
Meanwhile, with Max and Wendy preoccupied at Erinsborough High, Holly and Andrew sneak off into the city for some alone time.
Holly suggests that they get to know one another like they’re single and have never met, and the two agree on the fact they want to be together properly.
At No. 30, Cara brings Remi up to speed on the Linwells’ associate, and the two make peace after the suggestion of a relationship with Nicolette.
After doing some more digging, Cara heads down to a warehouse which was apparently leased to the Linwell Brothers some years ago. Andrew has declined to join her, and Nic has told her to trust her gut.

Unfortunately, it all ends very badly. The warehouse is full to the brim with weapons and before she can call the station, the door behind her slams shut and is locked.
Wednesday, September 10
Cara realises that the person who has locked her in is Ricky Denham, the Linwells’ associate. He makes a beeline for a box of guns and she anxiously asks Andrew to provide backup.
She holds her breath, recording a phone call made by Ricky where he discusses ‘a man on the inside’ and dealing with ‘government’. Andrew arrives but warns her not to jump the gun and arrest him, as they don’t have a search warrant for the warehouse yet.

During a meeting with the Senior Sergeant, he’s not happy with how Cara’s handled the situation but can’t help but acknowledge that her instincts have proved to be fruitful.
Meanwhile, Holly has lost her earring in the CBD and with Andrew forced to leave her to help Cara, she’s on her own.
She’s dreading the moment she has to tell Max it’s gone, especially with him living frugally in order to buy her lavish gifts. Back at home, he and Taye have planned a double date barbecue for her and Sadie.
Holly’s so guilty that she struggles to enjoy the evening, and when Sadie points out her strange mood, she flees home before breaking down in tears.
Max checks in on her and she has to admit to losing the earring. He’s initially frustrated and she uses his reaction as an excuse to break up.
Next door, Andrew gives Wendy an edited version of his day. She reveals she’s bought some risqué underwear to liven things up in the bedroom after their unsuccessful evening last week.
Unfortunately, he ends up with more embarrassment, and Wendy puts it down to work stress.

The next day, Sadie stumbles across her mum researching erectile dysfunction, and she’s mortified. In her shock, she accidentally tells Taye, and Wendy urges them not to say anything to Andrew.
Thursday, September 11
Max is devastated following his breakup with Holly. Sadie and Taye try to comfort him, while struggling to understand how it could have happened.
When Sadie mentions it to Andrew, he’s alarmed. This is exactly what he and Holly should be avoiding, as it can only lead to more questions and drama.
Holly reassures him, saying she found it impossible to continue the relationship any longer and that there was no way she was able to end it without more upheaval for Max.

The situation is a glaring reminder for Andrew that it’s going to be very hard to end things with Wendy, and he tells Holly that they’ll have to leave Erinsborough when the news comes out.
Elsewhere, it’s Nell’s final day and she’s still down in the dumps. She focuses on the Foundation, arranging for Wendy to be custodian in her absence.
Dex gives JJ a reality check, telling him that it would be a shame to throw away his friendship with Nell and it’s clear they both care about each other.
Finally galvanised, JJ decides to throw Nell a last minute party and apologises for his recent behaviour. After making a heartfelt speech, she’s touched to know they can stay on good terms.
Boosted by his words, she drives out of Ramsay Street for a new life in Colac…
Things don’t get much easier for the remaining residents of No. 22, though. Terese and Elle have called a truce, but it’s clear that they still resent one another.

Elle admits to Leo that she thinks Paul’s reunion with Terese was a mistake, and she hopes that his plans to spend more time in New York might cause cracks in the relationship.
When she floats the idea with Paul, he remains firm, saying that they’re stronger than they’ve ever been.
Leo prewarns Terese that she should be careful, and another confrontation occurs. Elle is so adamant that she needs to move out, but after Nell’s tearful farewell, Terese extends an olive branch and asks her to stay.
But no sooner has this been decided, Paul is summoned to NYC for the birth of son Andrew’s baby, and Terese and Elle are left to share the house alone.
There may be trouble ahead!
Neighbours streams from 7am, Monday to Thursday on Amazon Prime Video.
