Cara worries about her dad being so close to Elle during the accident, but there are even bigger threats looming.

Meanwhile, Holly invites Gretchen to Erinsborough for a catch-up, unaware that Andrew has asked Wendy to stay away from his sister.

Seeing Gretchen in the complex, Andrew jumps to conclusions and lashes out at Wendy, only to later discover she had nothing to do with it.

Wendy hits a low point, but Jane helps her remember the pride and rare achievement of staying married all these years.

Paul is consumed with worry for Elle’s safety, especially after being reminded of the death of David.

He insists she take a break from the story, while Terese goes to great lengths to make Elle feel settled. But the relief is short-lived when Terese discovers Elle has been lying about dropping the investigation.

Meanwhile, Holly fears she may have upset Andrew after the Gretchen incident. When she confesses her love and gets no immediate response, she rushes to clarify.

Andrew warmly reassures her, and Holly apologises for being overeager – she’s simply desperate to start their new life together.

Holly even pitches a getaway to the coast, and Andrew tentatively agrees. But as plans for their future unfold, he begins to realise just how deep he’s letting himself fall.

Wednesday, October 1

Amid Elle’s reckless behaviour, Paul struggles to pick sides between her and Terese, leaving Terese realising her constant clashes are only weighing on him.

When Elle vents to Leo, she finds no sympathy – he admires Terese’s insistence that Elle consider how her actions affect everyone.

Emotionally drained, Paul confesses to Terese that he hasn’t been hard on Elle because he fears she’ll return to New York; he just wants her close.

When Terese explains Paul’s true concern – that Elle might repeat his mistakes – Elle makes the decision to drop the story and stay in Erinsborough.

Meanwhile, Taye is ready to take his face mask business to the next level and start hunting for investors, but Sadie has bigger worries: securing funding for the Amanda Harris Scholarship.

She pitches a live makeup show to Krista and Zac, confident that Nicolette and Jane will help draw a crowd. But both women refuse, forcing a desperate Sadie to challenge them, reminding them the event is about keeping Amanda’s memory alive.

Despite busy schedules, Zac and Krista are thriving at work, quickly becoming the office’s ‘work husband-and-wife’.

Unfortunately for Leo, this means he’s spending less and less time with his actual wife.

When Abby draws a family picture with a baby, Krista’s fears about pregnancy resurface, along with Leo’s hopes of expanding their family. Seeking advice from Terese only confirms her worries: the longer she keeps quiet, the more she risks hurting Leo.

Finally, in a rare moment alone, Leo brings up the subject of having a baby. Krista has no choice but to be honest – she doesn’t want to be pregnant again, forcing both of them to confront the future of their family.

Seeing his distress, Nicolette reflects on her own longing for another child. When Leo admits some regret about not being around for Abby’s pregnancy, Nicolette inadvertently reveals his feelings to Krista, prompting her to reconsider how important natural conception is to him.

With little hope of changing Krista’s mind, Leo is stunned when Nicolette drops a bombshell: she’s willing to carry his baby.

Meanwhile, Jane wonders why Max hasn’t told anyone he’s now a fully certified mechanic. Max admits he’s been laying low after his breakup with Holly, so Jane decides to celebrate him with a day out.

Sharing advice and encouragement, Max and Jane remind each other to feel confident and take action in their own lives.

Later, Max is touched when Jane surprises him with a party, organised with the help of his friends, to celebrate his achievement.

At the beach, Colton tries to relax with some yoga – only to notice Zac snapping photos of him.

Zac insists it’s innocent hobby photography, but Colton can’t resist showing off with some shirtless stretches, clearly catching his attention. When called out, Zac covers, claiming he was only worried Colton would get sunburnt.

Back at Lassiters, Zac faces an awkward moment with a hotel guest and gives them a huge Day Spa discount, leaving Sadie suspicious. Zac smooths things over, but the incident clearly rattles him.

Later, Colton vents to Max about Zac’s odd behaviour at the beach. Max suggests they find a way to get along, and when Zac explains himself, the ice finally breaks.
