Secrets plague the Slater family in EastEnders next week, as Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) goes off-grid amid a crisis for wife Kat (Jessie Wallace).

It’s a troubling time as Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) attempts to sabotage their limousine business, and when her daughter Stacey (Lacey Turner) reaches out to Alfie, more problems follow.

Kat is desperate to reach him when their son Tommy (Sonny Kendall) lands himself in hot water, but he’s nowhere to be found.

Later, he announces his intentions to head Down Under to see brother Spencer (Christopher Parker). What is Alfie up to?

You’d be right in guessing that Tommy’s troubles are caused by his new mate Joel Marshall (Max Murray), with the teen roping him into his latest vile sex offence.

The lads are on the tube home when Joel decides to stumble on top of a passenger, touching her inappropriately.

Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) resorts to desperate measures to keep Joel out of anymore trouble, and not only offers the victim some cash, but tells Tommy to keep quiet or she’ll implicate him.

Plus, down at The Queen Vic, Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) enters self-destruct mode, behaving carelessly with her money and effectively abandoning daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Will Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) be able to make a breakthrough?

Here’s a look at next week in Albert Square…

Monday, June 16

The press coverage from Kat, Alfie and Harvey’s photo shoot drops, and Jean is furious to see that Kathy is branded ‘Mrs Monroe’.

Alfie tries in vain to shut down her attempts to sabotage the limo business, promising to be by her side through the breakup. However, he quickly becomes distracted by his phone – and a mysterious phone call.

It’s none other than Stacey on the other side of the line, and she presents him with another problem to contend with.

What does she want?

Tommy and Joel enjoy a day out, and on the tube home, Joel comes up with another vile scheme.

He asks Tommy to hit record on his phone as he stumbles through the carriage, falling onto a fellow passenger and touching her inappropriately.

When the lads arrive at the station, the woman, Isla, reports Joel and he’s apprehended.

Tuesday, June 17

Having been carted off to the police station, Joel faces tough questioning from both the officers and his dad Ross, while Vicki comforts a traumatised Isla.

She’s supportive of her decision to report the teen, and hopes it will prevent any further issues. She passes on her number should she need anything and later, the women meet up.

Vicki offers Isla a financial settlement should she drop the complaint, promising to make Joel understand the repercussions of his actions.

Meanwhile, Kat is concerned about Joel’s influence over Tommy and wants to speak to Alfie – but he’s elsewhere. She becomes desperate to track her husband down, but where has he got to?

Plus, following her breakup from George, Elaine has left Linda to do the majority of the work at The Vic, and Phil notices she’s struggling.

Wednesday, June 18

Kat’s conversation with Alfie has left her feeling uneasy, and she’s convinced that he’s keeping something bigger from her.

Elsewhere, the drinks get flowing down at The Vic, as Kim, Mo, Priya, Denise, Honey and Yolande join Elaine for a party. Linda is gobsmacked when her mum announces that prosecco is on the house for the rest of the night.

Phil and Nigel pop in for a drink, and it’s clear that the evening is taking its toll on Linda. Phil hops behind the bar, while a tipsy Elaine corners Priya.

She’s offered to pay for her to go on a singles cruise, on the condition she can pay her back later. Linda is mortified to see £5k leave the business account.

Thursday, June 19

Kat tries to talk to Alfie again, but things go from bad to worse when he reveals that Spencer is having a bad time in Australia and he needs to jet across the world to make sure he’s okay.

Tommy is keeping his distance from Joel in the wake of the incident, and receives a further shock when Vicki tells him to keep his mouth shut or she’ll implicate him in what happened on the tube.

Elsewhere, a hungover Elaine refuses to engage with Linda, who is still in disbelief that her mum handed over such a large sum of money to Priya.

As Linda begins to open up for the day, Phil can see she’s out of her depth and lashes out at Elaine for being so irresponsible.

EastEnders airs these scenes between Monday, June 16 and Thursday, June 19 on BBC One and iPlayer.
