The Wheel of Time's second season premiered in 2023, and earned generally positive reviews from critics. The previous season may have been a critical success, but it was very poorly received by long-time fans of the books, as the departures were immense, and a lot of artistic liberties were taken. Season 2 doesn't differ in the amount of liberties it takes, but it is generally considered to be the first step in the right direction, and was much more enjoyable than its predecessor.
