Alien: Earth has dominated the streaming charts in recent weeks, but a controversial documentary just dethroned the sci-fi series. The Alien franchise spans seven films and two crossover movies with Predator. Ridley Scott launched the movie series back in 1979, and James Cameron directed the sequel.
