Alan Ritchson Officially Returns as Jack Reacher Today for TV Show Now on Prime Video

Alan Ritchson officially returns as Jack Reacher today, September 16, with the new Reacher spinoff now streaming on Prime Video. The actor appears in Neagley, bringing his version of the character into another story from Lee Child’s world. All eight episodes of Neagley are available to stream at once.

The thriller series follows Frances Neagley (played by Maria Sten) after a friend from her past dies in a suspicious accident. The former Army investigator uses her military training and investigative skills to uncover what happened. As Neagley digs deeper, the investigation takes her to Echo Canyon Farm. The case also forces her to confront parts of her own past as she searches for answers.

Prime Video describes Neagley as Reacher’s former military colleague from the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. The new story casts her as a Chicago private investigator.

Everything to know about Alan Ritchson’s role in Neagley

Alan Ritchson plays a short supporting role as Jack Reacher. He does not lead the new story. Reacher steps in when Neagley’s investigation takes a dangerous turn, offering support when she needs it. He is there to back up his longtime friend as she takes on the case herself. It also gives their usual partnership a different dynamic.

In the main Reacher series, Neagley often works alongside Reacher as a highly capable partner. This time, the spinoff puts her in the lead, with Reacher appearing briefly to help her.

The cast also includes Greyston Holt, Jasper Jones, Adeline Rudolph, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman. Maria Sten remains at the center as Neagley investigates the circumstances surrounding her friend’s death.

The series, created by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, expands the television world of Lee Child’s characters. It gives Neagley a separate investigation while keeping a direct link to the original series.
