Make healthier homemade air fryer donut holes with just four ingredients. This recipe uses Greek yogurt, vanilla, ripe bananas and flour.

I’ve also included the sugar-free alternatives for this recipe however substituting the flour is not an option as the texture doesn’t turn out the same.

The Perfect Snack: Air Fryer Donut Holes

Our son loves Tim Hortons Timbits but we don’t like the amount of sugar, even for a snack.

I’ve been seeing air fyer donut holes recipes on Tik Tok and decided to create one for jr. CBB.

He loves bananas so I knew I may be onto a winner as long as the ingredients were simple.

In the recipe notes below you’ll find options that I’ve added for optional flavours, glaze and coating.

For this air fryer donut holes recipe I added 1 tbsp of a thick Greek yogurt or full-fat sour cream as a binder as I do with homemade banana bread.

If you can’t find self-raising flour (includes baking powder) in Canada ($5 for a bag at Food Basics) use all-purpose flour and add the baking powder.

You’ll notice that the dough is sticky and that’s how it should be however if it’s impossible to work with a one tablespoon extra of flour.

Coating your hands with melted butter or coconut oil will help when kneading the dough and rolling it into donut holes.

By spraying the air fyer with cooking spray helps the donut holes so they don’t stick and fall apart when you remove them.

Once baked, add any coating you’d like to the air fryer donut holes or eat them plain without glaze or cinnamon sugar.
