A new Dungeons & Dragons Unearthed Arcana provides some heavy hints that a return to Ravenloft is in the works. Among the most popular D&D settings, the dark domains of Ravenloft are all inspired by various horror tropes. Ravenloft consists of numerous "Demiplanes of Dreads," each of which is dedicated to keeping a particularly nasty soul imprisoned in a state of torment. Dungeons & Dragons most recently revisited Ravenloft in Von Richten's Guide to Ravenloft, released in 2021, but it might be time for it to reappear.
