ABC’s Scrubs Revival Is Just Days Away From Returning

Scrubs revival is all set to return with its second season. The comedy series premiered on ABC earlier this year and received largely positive reviews from critics and fans. The revival brings back familiar faces Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, among others, who are reprising their original roles from the 2001 show.

Season 2 of Scrubs revival arrives in September

Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, and Donald Faison are teaming up again for Scrubs Season 2. The two-episode premiere drops Wednesday, September 30. It airs 8 p.m. EDT/PDT on ABC network. Episodes hit Hulu next day (via The Hollywood Reporter).

The second season arrives months after the revival aired. The first season reunited the gang at Sacred Heart. ABC dropped the trailer for Season 2 last week. The new trailer teases more happenings at the hospital. It also shows J.D. and Turk in different positions. Braff returns as J.D. along with Faison as his longtime friend Turk.

Both characters are now experienced doctors at Sacred Heart. They are helping guide a new group of residents. However, their usual antics are still very much present. Their friendship remains an important part of the show.

Sarah Chalke also returns as Dr. Elliot Reid. Braff, Faison, and Chalke serve as executive producers. Aseem Batra is returning as showrunner for Season 2, along with series creator Bill Lawrence.

Additionally, the new season introduces several new faces. Ava Bunn joins the cast as Sam Tosh. More newcomers are expected to bring more drama and twists to the existing dynamic. The Scrubs revival originally premiered in February earlier this year, with the finale airing in April. The show will now continue with another season with new promises, returning characters and new storylines.

The series returns with Season 2 on September 30, 2026, and it will also stream on Hulu.
