This means a deal might be forthcoming between the two parties soon. But as per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “No deal at this time is close.”

However, this move comes hours after former Steelers executive Doug Whaley apparently warned Mike Tomlin against signing Rodgers. “If you start talking retirement at 41, is he going to be able to get over that thought process in his mind and able to give 110% for the entire season?”
