Recently Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala, and Ashutosh Gowariker met the New Zealand Prime Minister RH Christopher Luxon to explore exciting opportunities for film destination collaborations. According to reports, the Prime Minister himself extended a personal invitation to the Bollywood big names and urged them to consider New Zealand as a premier destination for Indian filmmaking.

 

The meeting aimed at making good ties between the Indian film industry and New Zealand. The Prime Minister of New Zealand RH Christopher Luxon shared a picture with the Bollywood stars on Instagram and wrote, "The film scene brings money into our economy which creates jobs and grows incomes and I want to see more of that. So it was great to catch up with a few Bollywood stars to get their thoughts on what more we can do!"

 

In the pic, Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala, and Ashutosh Gowariker can be seen posing while Christopher Luxon, as they take a group selfie. Vidya Balan also shared the post on her Instagram Stories and wrote, "Was lovely to meet you Prime Minister."

 

While Bollywood has barely scratched the surface of New Zealand's breathtaking landscapes, global blockbusters like The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies have showcased the country's majestic locations on a grand scale, leaving audiences in awe.

 

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon visited BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi accompanied by a 110-member delegation, on March 16. The delegation included senior government officials, ministers, business leaders, and community representatives from New Zealand. During his visit to India, he also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 17 to engage in various discussions to enhance ties between the two countries.

 

The Prime Minister also visited Mumbai from March 19 to 20 before returning to Wellington.
