Warner Bros. has announced the HBO Max release date for the upcoming streaming debut of A24‘s black comedy drama Sorry, Baby. The movie hails from Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, who serves as a producer.
“Something bad happened to Agnes. But life goes on… for everyone around her, at least. When a beloved friend visits on the brink of a major milestone, Agnes starts to realize just how stuck she’s been, and begins to work through how to move forward,” reads the official synopsis.
When is the HBO Max release date for A24’s Sorry, Baby movie?
Sorry, Baby will be available for streaming starting on Thursday, October 30, exclusively on HBO Max. On the same day, the movie will also have its broadcast debut on HBO at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Billions star Eva Victor wrote and directed the movie, which served as their feature-length directorial debut. The ensemble cast includes Victor as Agnes, Naomi Ackie as Lydie, Lucas Hedges as Gavin, John Carroll Lynch as Pete, Louis Cancelmi as Preston Decker, and Kelly McCormack as Natasha. Besides Jenkins, the movie was also produced by Adele Romanski and Mark Ceryak.
Since having its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival last January, the movie has already garnered a Certified Fresh rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 168 reviews. Because of this, it’s now one of A24’s highest-rated movie releases of this year, beating out Alex Garland’s Warfare (93%), Danny and Michael Philippou’s Bring Her Back (89%), and Benny Safdie’s upcoming The Smashing Machine movie (75%).
