'A Minecraft Movie' Overtakes Jason Momoa's Wackiest Hit at Global Box Office

Having completed two full weeks in theaters worldwide, A Minecraft Movie continued its stupendous box office run despite facing competition in the form of Ryan Coogler’s Sinners this week. The movie slipped to the number two spot on the domestic box office charts, but continued to maintain its stronghold overseas, thanks to its broad appeal. A Minecraft Movie passed a couple of major milestones at the global box office this weekend, having already passed the $300 million mark domestically a few days ago. It’s the top-grossing Hollywood film of the year, and a much-needed shot in the arm for Warner Bros. after a disappointing start to 2025.
