A Little Life Lately

This week has been full of so many good (and a little wild) moments!

A woman in a red dress and denim jacket stands next to a man in a checked shirt, sunglasses, and black cap, both smiling outside a house—capturing a joyful moment in this personal post.

It all started with Easter Sunday, where we had the incredible opportunity to share the gospel with over 130 kids.

A group of children sit in rows facing a stage with a presenter, colorful lights, and large screens displaying an open book graphic—capturing a memorable moment perfect for a Personal Post.

It was such a blessing to see so many little hearts hear the good news!

Afterward, we spent the rest of the day with family, just enjoying being together and soaking in the sweet time.

Five framed family photos are displayed on a wooden piano, surrounded by stacked cups and decorative items in the background.
Three children sit on a living room rug sorting through a basket of toys and candy, while an elderly man relaxes in an armchair in the background.
Five women sit around a table with a blue tablecloth, sharing fruit, cheese, and snacks in a cozy indoor setting.

A few days later, we picked up our new bee packages from our friends at Turtlebee Farms.

A man in a white t-shirt and beige pants holds a brush while standing in a cluttered room with wooden floors and string lights—a candid moment captured for this personal post. Another person can be seen in the background.

We haven’t installed them in their hives yet because the weather hasn’t been quite right, but we’re planning to get them settled in this week. I can’t wait!

Two wooden boxes filled with live bees sit in the bed of a pickup truck, with a person standing behind them, capturing a unique moment of beekeeping in action.

I also spent some time working on a little garden bed right outside my dining room window, getting it ready for the new strawberry plants I just got.

Last year, I planted two strawberry plants there to test it out (since strawberries haven’t done well anywhere else in our yard), and they thrived!

So this year, I’m going all in — adding about 30 more plants across three different varieties.

Green plants grow in a garden bed bordered by a black metal fence, with dry leaves and brick paving visible nearby—perfect for a personal post capturing the serene beauty of your outdoor space.

While I was cleaning out the bed and pulling up some lemon balm that had totally taken over, I started noticing lots of tiny yellow flying insects.

Then I realized — I was getting stung!

A red arrow points to a small, camouflaged frog blending in with dirt, moss, twigs, and small green plants on the ground—perfect for a Personal Post about nature’s hidden wonders.

After some research (and a lot of itching), I found out they were tiny digger bees.

Apparently, I disturbed their underground hives when I was weeding.

Thankfully, their stings are super mild, but it definitely made for an adventurous afternoon!

It’s been a full week, and I’m so thankful for it all — the joyful moments, the new beginnings, and even the unexpected wild ones.

Weekly Wins

I’m so excited — the Trillium plant I found last year has come back again this spring!

Trilliums are such special plants because they’re actually pretty rare and slow-growing.

It can take years for them to flower, and they’re super sensitive to their environment.

In some places, they’re even protected because they’re so hard to replace once disturbed.

Seeing it come back feels like a little gift — a reminder that good things often take time!

Favorite Find

This week’s favorite find has to be the salted caramel Greek yogurt I spotted at Aldi.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but wow — it’s absolutely delicious!

It’s the perfect little treat when I want something sweet but still kind of healthy.

I’m already thinking I should’ve grabbed a few more because I can see this becoming a regular thing around here.

If you’re at Aldi anytime soon, definitely keep an eye out for it!

A man in a dark t-shirt stands outdoors next to the word "TRACKER" in large yellow letters, sharing a Personal Post with trees and a blue sky in the background.

What I’m Watching/Reading/Listening to:

Lately, Rich and I have been watching a new TV show called Tracker.

Justin Hartley stars as Colter Shaw, a trusted lone-wolf survivalist who uses his instincts to find the missing and collect rewards.

It’s been the perfect background show for us — each episode stands alone, so even if you accidentally fall asleep or miss part of it while scrolling your phone (guilty!), you can jump right back in without feeling lost.

It’s been our new go-to when we just want something easy and entertaining to have on in the evenings.

We’ve been using the free Paramount streaming we get with our Walmart+ membership, but you can also get a FREE trial of Paramount+ if you want to check it out.

That’s a little peek into what’s been going on around here lately — from Easter celebrations and bee adventures to tiny garden victories and new TV favorites.

Thanks so much for hanging out with me and letting me share a bit of our life with you.

I’d love to hear — what’s been a win or favorite find from your week?
