The time when billion-dollar MCU movies came as easily as a snap of Kevin Feige’s gauntlet now feels like ancient history. Sure, Marvel is still very active in Hollywood, producing multiple films every year, but they don’t have the chokehold on the industry like they used to, with even established brands like The Fantastic Four and Captain America being unable to muster much enthusiasm from fans who used to study the studio’s every footstep. Superhero fatigue is most definitely real.
