Every marriage is a slow-burn thriller because one person is definitely lying, and the other one is probably lying back. Give a good actor a fake identity and a boss who might have them killed and you've got a series. Add a spouse who doesn't know, a kid who's starting to suspect, and a colleague who's a little too curious, and you've got a great one. It's a soap opera with better tailoring and a genre that has been feeding television its best material for decades with no sign of slowing down.
