Bill Murray made his controversial MCU debut a few years ago in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but more recently, he starred in a beloved dog drama that has become a massive streaming success. Murray stars alongside Naomi Watts (Mulholland Drive) and Cloé Xhauflaire (Beyond Black Beauty) in The Friend, the 2025 drama/comedy following a solitary writer who bonds with a Great Dane that belonged to a close friend, which helps her come to terms with her own past and creative life. The Friend recently began streaming on Paramount+ in America, where the film has crept into the top 10, sitting at #4 at the time of writing.
