Charlie Brown is far too relatable despite his eternal depiction as a young child, his combined wisdom and resilience being balanced out by a litany of insecurities and humanizing flaws. It makes him the underdog star everyone loves in Peanuts, and despite the ultimately family-friendly presentation and themes, many of the things Charlie Brown says resonate arguably way more strongly with the adults who read Charles M. Schulz strip since the 1950s. He's an immensely quotable character even beyond typical catchphrases found within Peanuts and comic strips overall.
