Blade Runner is currently one of the most acclaimed science fiction movies of all time, but it didn't start off that way. Blade Runner initially performed poorly at the box office, and it didn't impress the critics either. Then we saw director Ridley Scott's cut in the '90s, and this visually amazing neo-noir started becoming more popular and critically re-evaluated. However, just because it's held in much higher esteem now doesn't mean that it's flawless. Science fiction is a tricky genre, after all, and there's usually bound to be at least one detail in the plot that doesn't really make sense.
