Getting into anime is an activity meant for all ages. Children may have discovered it either during the age of streaming, such as lockdown-related surges in viewership, or through various programming blocks in previous decades. But beyond generic lessons on perseverance and the power of friendship, anime can impart plenty of impactful, lifelong lessons with absolute style and uncompromising integrity. Some might even present their life lessons in ironic fashion to the viewer. But this is all to say, an animated medium should never be dismissed as juvenile and without value, and anime is no different.
