It’s been very exciting to see the praise Amy Madigan has been receiving for her scene-stealing performance as Aunt Gladys in Weapons, which has proven to be one of the most iconic new movie characters of the year. While Madigan has been doing great work ever since her Oscar-nominated breakout role in Twice in a Lifetime, her performance as the spine-tingling antagonist of Weapons showed a completely different side of her onscreen persona. However, Madigan is no stranger to the horror genre, as she starred in one of the most underrated Stephen Kingadaptations ever made. The Dark Halfwas inspired by one of King’s most personal novels and was directed by the horror legend George A. Romero.
