2x Olympic Medalist Fred Kerley Fires Back at Critic With Bold Message Ahead of Grand Slam Track Showdown in Miami

Fred Kerley’s red-hot mood is not showing any signs of cooling down. First, in The Pivot Podcast, he dropped something for Noah Lyles, claiming the reigning Olympic champion ‘not on his level.’ Then he dropped another bomb by uploading a video on social media, captioning it with “track ain’t safe no more.” And what was there in the video? Fred Kerley’s stunning victories in the races. And now comes another one. This time, a track and field sports critic came on the receiving end. However, what was the scene? 

On April 29, Fred shared two tweets in a reply to Ethan Hermann’s post. In one tweet, Fred wrote, “Go check your facts before coming at me. I’m a quarter horse who stole the spotlight in the 100m and can still handle the 400m. I’ll wait—tell me who else has done that. 100m Olympic sliver medalists 100m world champion 100m bronze medalist.” The next one was sharper: “Y’all forget I’m still young in this 100m game—and some of your favorites still don’t have an Olympic medal.”  But what did lead Fred to post those fiery tweets? 

One post from Ethan Hermann. While reposting Fred’s post showing his boots, Ethan wrote, “my one qualm with fred is that he tweets like he’s won. he’s a truly 1/of/1 athlete. and damn does he rise to the occasion. but, this is not your tweet when you have no silver or gold for individual in olympics.”
