When one thinks of the greatest box office experiences and performances of recent times, superhero titles — especially from Marvel — feature heavily in that conversation. That train of thought was expertly proven this summer, as Tom Holland's friendly hero smashed the box office when Spider-Man: Brand New Daybrought the house down over the summer. Its success was brought into focus by just how many milestones the superhero film was able to successfully eclipse. However, Brand New Day was not the summer hit that featured Holland in its cast. In another story, under vastly different circumstances, Holland swapped the spider's web for a pristinely sharpened blade.
