This comes after the film raked in more than $950 million at the global box office, with $423 million coming from domestic earnings and $527 million from international markets. A Minecraft Movie has not technically exited theaters yet, but the film will likely fall short of reaching $1 billion after it seemed like a sure thing following a debut of over $300 million. The video game adaptation starring Jack Black and Jason Momoa has been a hit on Prime Video’s VOD charts recently, battling it out with the likes of Jason Statham’s A Working Man and Sinners, the vampire horror hit from Ryan Coogler.
