1923 season 1, episode 8, "Nothing Left to Lose", is a dour finale and the halfway point of the Taylor Sheridan Yellowstone prequel, with each character having some cross to bear in this heartbreaking endcap. While 1923 season 1 has mostly taken its time getting the wheels turning on its epic story, episode 8 is a climactic episode that ends with more tragedy than anything else, but also perfectly sets up 1923 season 2, episode 1, to start running right out of the gate. There are few moments of hope embedded in the tragic tale.
