18-Year-Old Gymnastics Star & National Pride Announces Major Career Update Before Worlds

“I’m going to start training again, continue competing for my club and for Algeria, hoping to go all the way to 2028. That’s the aim of starting an Olympic cycle again,” a teenage gymnast confirmed last year, right after her biggest achievement on the mat. And what was that? She claimed the title of uneven bars in women’s artistic gymnastics at the Paris Olympics, defeating the former world champion Qiu Qiyuan and the past Olympic champion Suni Lee. However, the gymnast’s goal remains the same, but her medium to reach it seems to undergo a big change. You may ask how and who the gymnast is. 

Well, on May 14, La Nouvelle République reported that gymnast Kaylia Nemour is going to leave the Avoine-Beaumont Gymnastics club, the gym that helped her to achieve success in the French capital last year. The confirmation has directly come from her coach Marc Chirilcenco. However, is there any further word from the 18-year-old Olympic champion? No.
