Ryan Gosling is a three-time Oscar nominee with iconic movies dating back almost 25 years, but it’s safe to say that 2026 has been one of the most important years of his career so far. Gosling returned to the sci-fi genre for one of the most beloved movies of his career, Project Hail Mary, which earned over $600 million at the global box office. He’s also expected to add yet another Oscar nomination for his performance as Ryland Grace in the film. Just last weekend, during Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, Gosling was officially confirmed as the next Ghost Rider in a Shawn Levy-directed film coming to theaters in 2028. He’s also due to star in the next Star Wars movie opening in theaters in May 2027 — Gosling’s stock has never been higher than it is right now.
